Carbon Products Professional Production Equipment Carbon Baking Furnace

　　A carbon baking furnace is a thermal equipment that indirectly heats various carbon products after high-pressure molding under air-isolated conditions to a specified baking temperature, thereby improving the electrical and thermal conductivity of the products and increasing the strength of the products. Carbon baking furnaces are structurally divided into furnace bottom, side walls, fire walls, cross walls, furnace top, and flue.

　　There are two types of carbon baking furnaces commonly used domestically and internationally: open-type ring baking furnaces and covered baking furnaces. These two types of baking furnaces are mainly used for baking aluminum carbon anodes and cathodes and steelmaking electrodes. Currently, China uses open-type ring baking furnaces for baking aluminum carbon anodes. Production practice shows that the heat utilization rate and heat loss of the baking furnace account for about half each, and the fuel consumption per ton of finished carbon anode is generally 2.4GJ/t~3.2GJ/t (approximately equivalent to 60kg/t~80kg/t of general heavy oil). At present, some advanced baking furnaces in developed countries have reduced fuel consumption to 1.8GJ/t~1.9GJ/t of heavy oil under the conditions of extremely demanding anode raw materials and complete combustion of pitch (new technology). Therefore, reducing the fuel consumption of aluminum carbon anode baking furnaces has been a major topic of long-term exploration and research in the carbon industry.
